Hospitalist Needed for Small Town near the Outer Banks

Job Description

Our 49 Beds hospital is actively seeking a procedure oriented Internal Medicine physician to be employed as a Hospitalist.  This position will be a seven on/off schedule.  Compensation will be commensurate with training and experience and based on MGMA guidelines.  A full range of benefits including health, life, and malpractice insurance will be provided and will also include relocation assistance and paid CME and time off. We are located an hour and a half due east of Raleigh-Durham between Albermarle Sound and Pamlico Sound.  There are marinas within thirty minutes on each Sound.  East Carolina University Medical School is just twenty-five minutes from our location in Greenville, N.C.  

Location Description


We are located in the northeast Coastal Plain of North Carolina, just ninety-eight miles from North Carolina's Outer Banks and Atlantic Ocean. More than twenty creeks and streams slowly meander through the countryside emptying into the Roanoke River, eventually reaching the Albemarle Sound. Greenville, home of East Carolina University and East Carolina School of Medicine is an easy twenty-five mile drive to the southwest.

Our County is mainly agrarian and has a population of 25,000.  Although rural in nature, we have significant industry, which has grown at a healthy rate. Many out of state corporations have made sizable investments in our county.
