Hospital is a 231-bed facility located in South Carolina. It offers a broad range of services including: obstetrics, emergency services, Sleep Lab, Diabetic Unit, Transitional Care Unit, Rehabilitation Unit, Home Care/Hospice, Chemical Dependency Treatment Unit, Urgent Care Clinic, Occupational Medicine Clinic and more. The hospital is fully accredited by the JCAHO. It has approximately 700 employees and a medical staff of over 120 active full-time physicians. The hospital has five medical office buildings and three other buildings housing services on a 20-acre campus.

THE COMMUNITY
The town, a warm, friendly community steeped in southern charm, is only 30 miles south of Charlotte, North Carolina, affording a host of additional cultural, recreational and shopping opportunities. The Charlotte airport offers commuter and major flights daily. The mountains of North Carolina are just a short drive north and the beautiful beaches of South Carolina are three hours south. In addition to many small businesses, a variety of large businesses form a stable economic base, including Springs Industries, Duracell, Joslyn-Clark Control, Kanawha Insurance and many others.

RECREATION
The town has several fine restaurants and shopping centers, an exceptional public library system and regular community events for adults and children. The County Recreation Commission offers a wide variety of sports and recreational activities for people of all ages. The recreation commission operates 20 baseball/softball fields, 5 soccer fields, 14 tennis courts, eight basketball courts, 13 playgrounds and five picnic shelters. All are open to the public. The Leroy Springs Recreation Department has additional programs for area residents, including an 18-hole championship golf course and a swimming pool, which is open to the public and is used for area swim team competitions. The county also offers an abundance of hunting and fishing opportunities. The Regional Campus of USC's Physical Education Center houses a Physical Education Center which houses an indoor Olympic-size pool, weight room, basketball courts, indoor track, racquetball and tennis courts, all for public use.

EDUCATION
From preschool to postgraduate, students of all ages can find a fertile environment for learning in this county. The county is home to dozens of nursery and preschools, 18 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 4 high schools and a county vocational school. Students will find numerous associate degrees available, as well as a four-year general studies degree.
