A healthcare facility located in a rural town in northeastern Pennsylvania that is seeking a Family Practice physician! This is a traditional position. The call is 1/4. This is a full-time position with 5 days a week of work including 1 night per week and some Saturdays. The position does offer a competitive salary and production incentives. This facility is located only 2 hours from Philadelphia! This facility is part of a larger organization with multiple locations throughout Pennsylvania, and this particular location has been serving its community for over 100 years! The facility has undergone extensive renovations and had many technological updates, including the addition of a state-of-the-art Emergency Department. Location Description

 

This quaint rural town is located in northeastern Pennsylvania only about 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia and near Pottsville and Allentown! This mining town takes pride in its contribution to the coal industry and its location in the heart of the anthracite Coal Region of Pennsylvania. This is a lovely community sprawled out on a blackened hillside in northeastern Pennsylvania. The cost of living in this area is far below the national average and housing prices are very affordable! This area has much natural beauty with a river and many creeks and streams running throughout. In this county, there are three State Parks, seven campgrounds, the Appalachian Trail, multiple rivers, county parks, and a wildlife sanctuary! Furthermore, this county has unique attractions; such as, visiting America’s oldest brewery, touring an actual coal mine, exploring a classic car museum, tasting fine wines from any of the five area wineries, shopping at a local farmer’s market, or enjoying one of the community festivals!
