Associate Dental Director Position in California!

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead all clinical aspects of the site’s dental program through supervision of day-to-day activities.
  • Provide patient care (85% clinical practice) and 15% administration, namely coaching staff, reviewing charts and performance reviews of all site clinicians.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, developing and supervising professional staff in conjunction with the Office of the Dental Director (ODD)
  • Partner with the ODD to develop and revise work procedures to provide best practices and expedite improved levels of delivery of quality services to patients.
  • Serve as the organization's representative at meetings involving dental funding, and ensure agency compliance with City, County, State, and Federal regulations.

 

The role is most suited to a dentist with 2 or more years of experience in a primary care clinic setting. The position reports to the Chief Dental Officer. Ideally, your fluency in Spanish will enable you to better serve our culturally diverse patients.  Ultimately, success in this role will require a high degree of interpersonal competence, above average leadership skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

Required Skills
  • Graduation from an accredited school of dentistry with a valid DDS or DMD degree.
  • Creativity, flexibility, resourcefulness, and practicality in the analysis and solution of a variety of administrative and clinical issues.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required
Required Experience
  • Current California dental license, DEA number, plus minimum of two years clinical, office and administrative experience in a clinic setting
  • Experience supervising Dentists and other staff strongly preferred
  • Cultural competence in working with diverse staff and patients
